06 Highlander cuts off and then bucks when taking a 90 degree turn - it almost feels the fuel just cut off. No codes but the vehicle just runs fine - changed the air filter and cleaned the MAF. Yet to tackle the TB gunk but is this symptom related to anything related to the fuel filter - oh also getting 1.5MPG less in the past 3 mo.

Any suggestions where to start understanding the problem

When this happened to my Volvo it was because of a failing fuel pump relay. When the same thing happened to my Mercedes it was because of a failing ignition key. Whatever is doing it to your Toyota, it is more likely than not an electrical issue.

quite old + how many miles + how it was used, BUT at that stage of life many things it could be, a job for a pro with lots of experience with your ride, if its worth fixing, good luck!!!

It has 220K miles on it and babied all throughout its life - infact the car is only worth 2K but I am putting 1K into it for full front end replacement. I trust this car more than anything - my wife wanted me to drive to the FL Keys with our MB GLE, I said no, I would drive this though, she said no - we are flying to the keys. I have complete faith in this car given its been w/ me this long
