I have an 06 monte SS with 16,000 miles on it and it keeps eating up hvac actuators. I have replace 6 of these things.
Is there any kind of reset when replacing these things ? I have tired everything i have read on these. The recir motors are a ***** to get to and don't want to do another one of them. Help, i am about to beat the car with a ball bat.

This is what i would like to know. I have seen nothing that is for 06 and 07's. There has to be someway to keep these things from eating themselves up.

I have done this when installing all the new actuators. No luck. They last a while and then start the clicking again. Some may last a couple of months. The last one the car has had 150 miles put on it and it's clicking again. Don't know what to do with this POS.

They do seem to last a little longer if i do not use the remote start feature on the car. I think when you use the remote start it cycles all the actuators stop to stop and i think it's hard on them. Just my observations.

Well i have the use of a Tech 2 scanner and did the entire recalibration for the actuators. It show the pass. side blend actuator bad and it was clicking away. Going to replace it again. This will be the 6th one of these i have replaced along with 2 recirc, motors.
Recalibrate with the Tech 2 scanner and see what happens.

OK, Just installed another new actuator and used the Tech 2 for the recalibration. I disconnected the battery in the car for a couple of hours beforehand just for kicks. We will see how long this one lasts.

These all have been OEM actuators from the dealer. The doors all operate freely. I know these things are junk, but **** they should last more than a 100 miles.
