31.2 MPG, thats a pretty good average. What is your typical mix hwy/cty? Is that average over a large sample of miles or was it recently reset?

That's rather normal for an engine of this size at idle. My 530i consumes about 0.25 GPH at idle.

OK, I lied a little... I checked it again last night and it was closer to 0.3 GPH.
I went on a 400 mile trip yesterday with my Fusion and it runs great. We had 4 large adults crusing at 72 MPH and it showed 31.6 MPG when we got home. The engine runs smooth as silk and the transmission shifts great as well. Plenty of leg and head room, front and back. No problems yet.

Haha, my 3.0 uses .4 GPH at idle. Oh well, I guess I can only expect so much efficiency from an old pushrod V6.
