Has anyone had the "wrench" light in dashboard come on. It came on but vehicle was running fine. We pulled off road and turned off engine then restarted engine. The light went off and has not came back on. The car runs great any ideas would be appreciated. The vehicle is a 2006 4.0 L Ford Explorer. I am concerned that the throttle body might be the cause of light coming on.

The vehicle has 56,000 miles. I have already had to replace the radiator twice due to the radiator leaks.

I have not had the first problem with our 2006.It has been in the shop once for new tires.I think the wrench light indicates that there is a code stored to tell what the fault is.

Read the code with a code reader or have it read by someone with one. Otherwise you are randomly guessing at the issue. The wrench indicates a fault somewhere in the driveline controls - it may be drive by wire, transfer case, etc... related. Get the code, then diagnose... You may haveto wait for it throw the code again if the light does not stay on - similar to some ABS problems I dealt with last year on another rig (had a failing connector wire that was intermittent to say the least...)
