Sorry if this has been asked before. This is a "sealed transmission" No dip stick tube. How do you add fluid to it? Is there a fill plug and level check plug? And where are they located? whats the procedure for checking the fluid level? Can i pump some out and then add some? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Joe
P.s. I will be dropping the pan and replacing the filter and pan gasket. The truck has 80,000 miles on it w/ no fluid change or filter change.

You are supposed to get a special fill plug to bolt into the drain plug in the pan.

Then used a syphon pump or similar to fill it up. The stand pipe the fill plug attaches too should set the level at 100F and the rest drains out.

It is much easier to just take it to a shop and have them do it. It is a very precise method to make sure it is not over/under filled.

you remove the center plug from the drain plug, pump fluid into it and let it drain. When it goes from a stream to just starting to drip is when it is full.

you don't need that stupid tool, any sort of pump will work. A lot of times people just use those gear oil pumps, and stick the thing up in there.
