The o4 TL specs a 15400PLMA02 filter, 14-18 by-pass psi, which is a glorified Fram filter right down to the cardboard end caps. All prior year TL's spec 15400PCX004 filters, 12-15 by-pass psi and slightly larger in size, which is a really good filter...in fact it is the new spec fiter for the S2000. Any reason I can't use the 15400PCX004 filter on my 04 TL? I think the difference is by-pass psi is nominal but the quality is night and day. Thanks.

Other than space issue, I can't think of any reason why one can't use the Toyo Roki filter. Looks like Honda is recommending the 15400-PLM-A02
for all its cars/suv except the s2000. I thought that the 15400-POH-305 is the old oem filter

The 15400PCX004 filters should be fine if the there's no physical space limitations.
