Had to take home a company truck 2004 Ford F250 with the 5.4L 2v and 6 speed manual transmission and right off the bat it would shudder so bad and lose power under certain speed and engine load. Poor throttle response when you stab the pedal to the floor, etc. Connected the scanguage to pull codes and one of them was a P0306. Since this is a company truck I am not allowed to perform any of my own maintenance but wanted to see if just changing out that one spark plug solves the power issues. The truck has 158,000mi on it and and I'm assuming this is the original single platinum spark plug from cyl 5 and 6. Company owner says he will bring the truck in for service but who knows when.
Spark plug 5 on the top, 6 on the bottom:
#6 and #5
Hadn't had the chance to drive it around. Throttle response seems to be better when stabbing the throttle to the floor.
