Had a Pathfinder in the shop yesterday to try to find the source of a gradual battery drain. Multimeter showed .7A continuous draw which went to about .05 when I pulled fuse #4 in the under-dash fuse panel. No other fuses in any of the three fuse blocks on the car made any difference. From what I can find that fuse is one of two (the key-on circuit) for the sound system which is the upgraded Bose equipment on this vehicle. Probable cause is the amp in the left rear quarter, but unplugging the amp doesn't affect current draw at all. I didn't have time to get into the radio itself but that seems the next most likely culprit.
Any help here? I can find my way around an electrical system without letting the magic smoke out of expensive components, but I'm no expert for sure and am not at all familiar with more complex systems like this.
