Agreed, satinsilver, the best example of checking the easy and cheap stuff first......the worst example of "professionals with a financial interest in the diagnosis" not looking for the obvious.
I notice a few posters (suckers?) buying into the "spend big before you check it" philosophy.
Many of them would report later on the excellent repair work that was done, and never realized that it was basically fraud.
I could give endless examples.....but the knowledgeable already know!
