ooh that is interesting. Thank you for letting me know that. I didn't know that cert only allowed a certain weight of oil. The more I am learning the more questions I am going to ask

What engine are you planning to put it into? If not DI/turbo you don't need the "+"

Look for a low saps 5w40 Euro oil that carries a euro rating for an engine that has a turbo. Also make sure it has low calcium and that will give you what you are looking for. Although if you are under warranty you may want to keep running an actual dexos 1 Gen 2 oil for warranty headache reasons.

Thanks all for the replies! I did not know the Pennzoil Platinum Euro 0w40 would hold the SN+. That is pretty cool. I really like pennzoil but I didn't want to use the 30 weight because it was too thin for the ecoboost.
I am also wondering if Castrol edge 40 weight has a SN+ I emailed them to see if it did. I couldn't find any of their bottles in Walmart.

Mobil 1 10W30 is now SN+ and has HTHS=3.5, a poster on here also contacted XOM and was told that the Noack loss was something like 7.6%.
Probably not a great winter choice for me or the OPer, but I'm giving it a try this summer.
Shocking that my "new" car is actually high mileage now, over 100k...

Vanilla Mobil 1 10w30 is HTHS of 3.0. HM version is 3.5. Both SN Plus.
