    Bridgestone Weatherpeak

What are your thoughts now that a bit more time has gone by? I'm looking at getting the Weatherpeaks or CC2's for a 2018 Chevy Equinox. Right now the Weatherpeaks have a nice $150 discount at Costco, but I'm not finding a lot of info on them.

Tire recommendations for 2018 Chevy Equinox

Costco currently has a $150 discount on the Weatherpeaks. My only concern is that it's hard to find long-term reviews on them since they're new.

    Most likely not.

Is this with the Weatherpeaks or Crossclimates?

Tire recommendations for 2018 Chevy Equinox

Has anyone tried the Bridgestone Weatherpeaks? Some reviews I've read say the performance is on par with the CCII, but the Weatherpeaks are quieter, a softer ride, and result in less MPG loss. Not sure if this is true.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Everything I read said the CC2 is a better tire than the Weatherready, so I'm guessing he has a lot of GY's to sell or something. The CC2's are actually in stock near me. With that being said, would you choose those or one of the others you listed?

That was my thought as well. That definitely sounded a little odd to me.

Tire recommendations for 2018 Chevy Equinox

Hi all, I'm looking for tire recommendations for our 2018 Chevy Equinox AWD, 225/60/18. We live in New England, so need something that will perform well in all conditions. I was looking at the Michelin Crossclimate II, and when I called Town Fair Tire for a quote, the rep said he had some...

Is Cosmoline closest to GM frame wax?

Hey there, Don't mean to revive an old thread, but I'm highly considering using 342 on our vehicles. After a couple winters, have you been able to definitevely tell whether or not rust is progressing and/or coming through the 342?

Is undercoating worth it on newer GM vehicles?

Would even the wax or oil based options trap rust? I know the rubberised options have that issue.

342 is Cosmoline correct? He wants to go with Cosmoline. Do you agree that is a good choice? I'm pretty sure he's going to use that on all areas and just not use the Fluid Film at all.

If anyone has a Rock Auto discount code they wouldn't mind sharing, I would very much appreciate it!

I'm pretty sure he means he'll re-spray any areas that need it as part of the "touch-up". Ok, I'll see what his thoughts are on using one of those products instead. Your logic makes sense to me! I'd rather use something that won't wash off the first time we drive through a big puddle or something.

I asked and he said he's planning on doing all those areas you mentioned.

Definitely not getting the rubberised garbage!

Fluid film, but he's also open to suggestions.

We drive in CT and Western MA. It's $200 per vehicle for the first year but then only $50 per vehicle per year for touch ups.

Thanks, I'll definitely double check with him on all that.
