    Paragon 3000 in CV joint ?

    What's the consensus on using TRC Paragon 3000 in a CV joint ? Seems to be an ideal grease for my VW GTI race car...we have had a CV joint failure and I am putting in new axles, figured I'd upgrade the grease while I am at it and I have many tubes of the Paragon 3000 grease here.

    This a 1996 VW GTI purpose built race car that has a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder...It was a tight fit but the install is clean and professional. The clearance for the oil filter is extremely tight and we have to remove the radiator to change the filter...There has to be a shorty equivalent to a MANN...

    Hi ! I am trying to find a "shorty" version of the MANN 719/5 oil filter for a VW 2.5. This motor is in a VW race car and we are experiencing clearance issues with the radiator and fan shroud that we need to use.     Wal-Mart Euro M1 with black label. I run Motul 300V 5w40 in all the other race cars, seems like overkill in this motor ?

    220 usually...240 last race on July 21 in Pittsburgh...ambient temps were up there and we were really running the motor hard, redline on every shift. Got 2nd in class though !!

    Totally agree however we did not have time to mess around with it ! Busy season here so we left it up to the dealer to fix...I did try to find a used CVT trans but none available at the moment. Parts were approx $6000 !!
