I got my first drum of the 15W40 blend about two weeks ago. The JT-8 must have been blend all along or close to it because the new blend and the old stuff are the excact same price.

I wish it was that easy. Tried both the Denso made toyota filter (the foam looking one), and the Purolator made (paper pleated one), and it didn't change it. Same noise. But it just keeps on going. So, if it wants to make noise on it's way to 3 or 400k, and be happy, who am I to complain.

Mine just turned over 127k miles. Only known problem is about 60 % develop a cold start knock, mine included. Started about 80k. On the tacoma forums there are some that have made the noise since 60k and are now past 200k miles, no problems, so I'm not worried. Love the truck.
