Looking for advice on gas air compressors.

I like that idea. If I really get into changing tires I was thinking of also moving to an enclosed trailer.

Looking for advice on gas air compressors.

Based on the pat year I'd probably average 4 hours a month. I've just been helping out friends and family along with the odd friend of a friend. Based on what I have now 9 cfm would be enough and 13 cfm would be more then enough.

Looking for advice on gas air compressors.

The wheelbarrow ones are only 8 to 10 gallons. It doesn't need to be portable. The only reason I'm looking at a gas one is because I'm limited to 120V 15A power. I was hoping to get a higher cfm with gas so I don't burn it out.

Looking for advice on gas air compressors.

I'm using an old 6 cfm one now. It's electric with an oil free pump. It does a good job but it runs pretty constant and I think it will burn itself out in the near future.

Looking for advice on gas air compressors.

I know I've asked about compressors before. I didn't end up buying one. I'm slowly shopping for a gas powered one now. I'm looking at the wheelbarrow style ones with the honda engines. My question is how much do I have to worry about the pumps? They usually just say "cast iron oil...

Thanks everyone. I was surprised to see those compressors for that price. I assumed they were better then they probably are. I have a 10 year old 5 gallon craftsman that is my go to for just about everything. I know with compressors it's usually best to buy one a size bigger. My drawback is I...

Help me choose between 2 air compressors

I have an old 25 gallon oiless compressor and it did pretty good with my particular machine. I'm pretty sure I can rebuild it and put it back into service. It's just so dang noisy. Yes they're both horizontal tanks. The vertical ones are nicer but I can shove it order a workbench or leave it...

4l60e how often to drop the pan?

i hope you can find a new drain plug. its so much easier to drop a pan that isn't full of fluid. I read once that some places that offer a "transmission service" just hook it up to a flush machine. the pan doesn't get dropped no new filter or clean magnets:-(

4l60e how often to drop the pan?

that's good to hear. I've read the 4l60s don't do well with heat. that could be more to do with the older transmission fluid they used to use though.

4l60e how often to drop the pan?

that looks pretty clean. I pull a travel trailer and get the fluid a little hotter then I'd like to. actually hit 200f for a brief moment this year. if the pan is that clean when i take it off I'll leave it on even longer and just keep using the fluid extractor.

4l60e how often to drop the pan?

I have a 09 Sierra with the 4l60e about 50,000 km ago i changed the filter and bled the system with mobil dexron vi. since then about every 20,000km ive been using a fluid vac pump to remove what's in the pan and top off with the same fluid. I think my truck falls under the severe use category...
