Yes, these were both USA manufactured filters.

I work for a chemical, carpet fiber, nylon polymer manufacturing facility, so we have precision measuring equipment in all of the labs. This one was located in Quality Control. Using the scale, you can clearly see the Amsoil Ea017 weighs almost 7 grams more than the Royal Purple 20-500.

I had a 2008 Mustang GT with the T3650 gearbox. The OEM Mercon V ATF fill was notchy in cold weather until the transmission warmed up. The fix was Amsoil Multi ATF. That stuff is amazing.

Thanks a million MolaKule, that's good information you have provided. Simply stated, DCT is a synchromesh type fluid that is 2-3 cSt lighter than the norm.
