BMW B58 gen3 - Limited engine oil choices?

I know it's not the same but it's still a B58. Nothing you mentioned changes what's great for it. I guess if you don't feel comfortable running a LL01 then go to walmart.com, type in your oil spec and order it.

BMW B58 gen3 - Limited engine oil choices?

There's endless oil choices for the B58. I have mine tuned in an Ineos Grenadier pulling 400+HP on a 6,000lb vehicle before all the mods I've done to it. Skip 20 grade oils and go with anything that's LL01 or LL04. Walmart options are Pennzoil Plat Euro L 5w30 Qauker State Euro 5w40 (my...

How long will you run an oil based on time, low miles on oil?

you started off with IIRC saying Blackstone said engines were sealed. I said they weren’t and there’s other factors. Blackstone still recommends once a year. Not sure where you felt I said any specific time length though oils do have fallout. A Dino oil might hold longer in a can compared to a...

How long will you run an oil based on time, low miles on oil?

I didn’t miss it. Like I said, there’s still temp changes. Take a tank, seal it shut, and you can still have moisture appear after dropping the temp. It’s why gas tanks rust. Secondly, engine has valves, explain to me how they’re sealed. Some are open and some are closed based on the cam. Just...

How long will you run an oil based on time, low miles on oil?

That's a bit impossible. No matter what they say there's still temp changes, humidity, etc.

Changing your oil when it's hot - good/bad/who cares?

He’s not wrong. When asking questions the best method is Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: Proceed to ask whatever you’d like because that’s the point 😂

    Hotshots oil vs schaeffers

Somewhere there's a sour person on a forum that self-labels themself superior about knives, shoves, and screwdrivers that's suggesting he needs to stick to doing oils.

Any issue running Molygen in a LMM Dmaxx

HTHS is a minimum of 3.5. Duramax's seem to not really care about oil. I've been running AMSOIL Signature Series and since this cost me $4 figured why not.

Best practices for boat battery terminals?

What's the best practices to keep them from corroding? Spray worth doing? We use to just coat them with grease but made it a pain to work on later.

Bimmerpost says no to 0w40 but not here?

Ok I'll do some digging but your entire point of view was there was no point running a 0W due to more VII to get the greater spread, that oils with a greater spread couldn't hold grade as well, and how you've been tracking you're BMW at altitude a lot and there wasn't any point in going with a...
