Annoyed at my LoadRite boat trailer

Yep looks like they missed those 2 parts, I'd sand em and paint with cold galvanizing paint. Dutton Lawson makes good jacks and winches Believe it or not I have a 21 year old Tie Down 66 actuator that still works fine. 12" galvanized free backing drum brakes with galvanized drums.

Annoyed at my LoadRite boat trailer

There's a relatively new type of grease gun fitting called Lock N Load that is more secure but also easier to remove. I used it on my trailer and it's worth the slightly greater cost. On my trailer which is a Load Rite, I found that they did have a pretty good on line catalog, I was able to...

Awful Start Up Tapping After Sitting Several Weeks (Video Link Inside)

Based on the year, this Jeep should have the 3.6 Pentastar, which does not have exhaust manifolds, they are part of the cylinder head. Tell us more about this oil filter adapter.

    Hedge trimmer recommendations

I have had the best luck with Echo machines, I have 3, the hedge trimmer, blower and weed wacker. The oldest is at least 20 years old, the other two are at least 15 years old. I have a Husqvarna 235 saw and the cheaper Huskies (supposedly the same as Poulons) are not so great, they are prone to...

    Balsa Airplane Models

I built 3 of those balsa and tissue paper models.... The P-40 Warhawk The F6F Hellcat And a Spad biplane (the hardest one) it took a LOT of patience, I was 9 or 10 years old at the time

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee owned since new, currently at 181,400. Seems to like Valvoline Maxlife 10/30.

My first ‘nice’ bike: Trek Dual Sport 2 Gen 5

Nice bike! had a department store mountain bike (heavy steel frame, but full suspension) with 3x7 gears, which can be a pain to keep in adjustment. Gave it to a relative and now ride a Trek Marlin 6 with a suspension front fork and a suspension seat post. A good compromise for trails that have...

1999 Ford Ranger decided it was time to make a milkshake

Yep the standard auto trans coolers are inside the radiator, so if leaks antifreeze will get into your trans fluid. The only exception to this I am aware of is my 2007 Grand Cherokee this has the 5.7 V8 with the hydraulic fan, the trans cooler is actually the top half of the AC condenser, there...

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

Welll some may disagree, but I think the best jeep engine ever was the 4.0 inline six.

Ram 3.6L Pentastar oil cooler replacement

I wonder just what was the "thought" process of putting an oil passage right next to a coolant passage separated only those gaskets. As we all know, antifreeze contamination in the motor oil is death to bearings. I really wanted another Wrangler or a Gladiator, but I absolutely HATE that oil...

Single Stage Snowblowers ... I've been missing out

Actually if you use good 2 stroke oil they will last longer than that! Mines a 1998 CCR 3000 5hp and it runs as new. I added a fuel cut off to make draining the carb easier. Mines an electric start and nothing starts faster in the cold than an electric start 2 stroke. For up to 8/10” of snow...

Where can I find an OMC cobra mechanic?

I'm sure you either got this fixed by now or traded the boat but there are definite differences between doing a Cobra and other drives, and even within the Cobra line itself there are differences for example: 1986-1993 units pure OMC, dog clutch shifting in the lower unit 1994-1998 these were...

Who is using ATF in your power steering system?

Dex II was what my boat's P/S system had (similar to the old Bendix system used on Corvettes and unibody Fords) so that's what I continue to use in it.

Another B12 Chemtool Piston Soak Oil burner success with Toyota 2AZ-FE

Thanks for the follow up, that's basically normal oil consumption at this point! BTW we had 2 late 80s Toyotas, a 1988 Camry 2.0 4 cyl and a 1989 Corolla GTS 1.6 with the 4AGE engine, neither one burned oil, the Camry we sold at about 150,000 miles and the Corolla at about 100,000 miles.

    LT air pressures

There were some charts floating around the internet that listed how much you have to increase inflation pressure if you use LT tires on a vehicle that came with P rated tires. We did this on our 98 Grand Cherokee & went from 36 to 42 psi. 30x9.5-15 LT tires. Another related issue is trailer...
