Same. My 2.3 in the 5 has 140k+ and no oil usage. Solid engine and car. This and a 2005 ford focus (believe it or not) are the most reliable vehicle I have owned. I think the engine in the focus may be a Mazda engine though (duratec)

I took a bit of air out of the system by bleeding it. I will change the trans oil later this week. I still need to double clutch on second. Based on the behavior of all other gears, I think the second gear synchro is a goner.

What are your personal criteria / signals when to determine that it is time for a new(er) vehicle.

I'm using the Ford Honey. XT-M5-QS.... thinking about putting redline in. Really don't have anything to lose, though I ran this prior as well with zero issues it seemed.
