I have read a lot of posts regarding Rotella. Is this oil something special? What is it about Rotella? Is it a higher than normal detergent oil? Can someone shed some light on it? Are there any Rotella experts out there?

Ford recommends 5-20w oil, and I want to use 5-30w Mobil 1 EP but am afraid of using it because of the tight tolerances in this engine. They build them tight to make use of a thinner oil. What are your thoughts on this? Is there that chance of damage if I use a thicker weight oil?
