    2001 Toyota Sequoia

Thanks for everyone's replies. I'm working on my house so I got delayed replying. The history of how I got here is this. Cel came on, and it was the cat code. All the O2 sensors are new denso, less than a year old. My mechanic a year ago said the cat is going, it's on the edge, you can try some...

    2001 Toyota Sequoia

I have the above vehicle with 260,000 miles. I believe the catalytic converters are going out. Long story but that's what this points too. My mechanic is advising me that to avoid issues with CEL, I need to use the authentic Toyota cats. Well, all the dealers within 75 miles of me want over 2...

Aside from the dash lights I mentioned initially, what symptoms would I expect to see when the valves are needing adjusting? Thank you.

Hello. My pilot tripped the VTM-4 light this morning. No other lights came on, the light wasn't flashing. This was a few moments after starting it up and driving up the hill to the main road. As it accelerated, the light came on. No performance issues were noted. It was 42 degrees outside and...

    Replacing motorized antenna with fixed.

I suspected that may be the case. It's tough to find a replacement that'll work with all that. My searches have come up empty so far.

    Replacing motorized antenna with fixed.

Guess it doesn't matter why, it's done. There was no other way to remove the motor without doing so. I assume I'll need to refeed a new one to the head unit, which isnt a big deal.

    Replacing motorized antenna with fixed.

2001 Toyota Sequoia. After many years of replacing masts and motors, I'm done with it. I'd like to replace the motorized antenna with a fixed, either rubber or screw in metal "whip" antenna. Today I went to replace the broken mast, again, and it was all catywampus up inside. I kinda reached my...

I've only driven Japanese vehicles for many years and have learned my lesson about using parts other than NGK or Denso if at all possible.

They're not the originals from what I know. I have a maintenance record from the previous owner and the exact model plug isn't listed. They were changed at 200K. I'm tempted to put a 100,000 plug in there and be done with it for a good while. Thanks for the reply.
