    Truck step recommendations?

My wife is starting to have a problem climbing into our 2014 F150 4x4 ( stock height). Any recommendations for the single step type units. Such as :

    New mower

Finally retired my 1990 Honda HR214 and bought a Ryobi 40v multi blade 21"mower. The thing is a beast! Mows great and so much easier to turn. I only have about 2400 square feet of lawn so one battery only goes down one bar. Took the Honda to where we have a trailer to use there, probably...

    Tried to wax my truck...

So yesterday being " overcast" I washed my truck and intended to wax it. I took an hour break after washing, came back to see a coating of fine dust on the roof and hood. The Canadian wildfires caused this according to the weatherman. It's so bad here today that schools are cancelling all...

    Air conditioner

The air Conditioner on My 2014 F150 started blowing out 60F air during the hot spell we had recently ( in the 90's). I checked and the guage read a little low but everything else was running. Bought a can of r134a and according to the instructions on the can I shook well and kept it upright...

    No "spring ritual" yet :/

Darn, between all the rain and/or extremely hot sunny days I have yet to do my normal wash, clay, protect ritual on our vehicles this year. Yes I've washed them but have not done the full monty. But... both the 2008 CRV and the 2014 F150 still shine and bead water pretty well from early spring...

    AGM Question

So I'm reading the "AGM vs Traditional Battery" thread and see mention of re coding when switching to an AGM battery. Is this necessary? Do the auto stores do this? My 2014 F150 is probably ready for a new battery soon.

    Toro Wheel Horse issue

Went down to our trailer to mow last weekend. The Toro started right up and after a couple of minutes I put it into gear and drove over to where I was going to mow. As soon as I engaged the mower deck it stalled. After checking underneath to make sure the blade was free I tried to start it...

    Annual undercarriage clean up

Finally some warmer weather here in western NY so I hooked up the lawn sprinkler and did our two vehicles. Fifteen minutes in numerous locations seemed to wash out the undersides and wheel wells thoroughly. Next is the spring wash, nanoskin, polish and wax operations.

    LED headlights

When the time comes to replace my truck headlights I'm thinking of going with LED's. Has anyone used the kits from 4x4trucks led? http://www.4x4truckleds.com/ . Good reviews on the Ford truck forum. Changing bulbs on my truck involves disassembly vs just reaching in and swapping them out so I...

    Body shop finish

My wife's CRV got hit in the rear door and quarter panel last month and we had a local body shop do the repairs. When done the entire vehicle looked brand new and has seemed to repel salt spray and grime for the three weeks we've had it back. Now I take great pride in maintaining our vehicles...

    Strike Hold?

Has anyone used this? I searched the "new Lube/clp" thread and didn't find any reference to it.

    Power washer hurt me

I always give all of my pull start equipment an intial slow pull, then proceed to actually pull start. Well yesterday whe I did that on my power washer the rope handle flew out of my hand and hit my left wrist. Felt like a giant rubber band snapped back. Pain and hot spot on the wrist all day. I...

    Ryobi tiller question

I was given a Ryobi 410R rototiller. The gas lines are swollen and cracked so I can't get a good read on diameters. Does anyone know if it's .080" line? Dealers used to sell the gas tank assembly complete with the gas lines but every supplier shows obsolete, no longer available.

    After winter wash

Other than running a lawn sprinkler under the vehicles to flush out salt, sand and other winter grime do you do any particular washing to get ready for the spring clean and wax session?

    Paint Protect update.

With the break in the weather (75F Wednesday) here in western NY, I got to wash off the salt and mud I picked up during Sunday's drive into the woods. I rinsed off the wheel wells and the body then proceeded to use the foam gun on the whole truck. No mitt washing like I normally do. Rinsed then...

OEM wipers lasted 1 1/2 yrs

My wipers lasted from July 2014, when I bought my F150, to this past week. Got some seperation in a couple of areas and replaced them. Can't have bad wipers, especially in winter. So great longevity on the originals. Hate to throw them out but I don't think there's refills for them like we used...

Any reason not to use Gumout high mileage Regane

Both the regular and the high mileage Bottles are on sale for 2/$10 here. Any reason not to use the h m version in vehicles with less than 40,000 miles? And yes I did read the Q&A section top of the page.

    Deep cycle battery question

Can deep cycle batteries that were allowed to lose most of the battery acid be saved? Eight batteries in a UTV needed 71/2 gallons of distilled water to top them off, then charged. They lose power much quicker then before. Can they be dumped and new battery acid added? or will this not work?

    Pressure washer winterizing

What do the members here use to protect the pump? last year I flushed the water out w/ rv type antifreeze and left it filled with same. I now see there's a B&S pump saver product. Is this any better the either rv or automotive af? Both these products do "lube" the water pumps.

    08 Honda CRV coolant

Getting a headache from reading thru all the info on what coolant is acceptable to use in a 2008 Honda CRV. The Honda premix is $23 for a gallon of premix! Do I really need to use this? Or can I use any silicate free coolant? I see Napa has one that's Asian car spec'ed.
