Slant Six Removed in Preparation for V8 Swap

The slant six had a weird carburetor setup in which the engine suffered fuel starvation when making left hand turns. Sounds incredible but it was a common trait. Quoted by PimTac I remember this as well. The first time this happened was on my Grandmother's 1976 Plymouth Fury. Yes, It was a...

    1995 525i failed emissions testing

"They used to put OBDII cars on the rollers until recently, now they just plug it into the computer, no emissions sampling on the dyno." That's only true for cars 2000 and up. I still had to have my 1999 Chevy Malibu put on the rollers and tested at 15mph and 25mph with the same emission...

Do we need to go back to Pump Jockeys

As a little boy in the 1960's, I would jump up and down on the hose that rang the bell "ding ding" for the attendents to hear when a car pulled through. They would run out and chase me away!

    $15 Eyeglasses?

If you need reading glasses as you get older, you don't need a special prescription. The ones in the stores are just fine. They are usually +1.25, +1.50, and up. For me, it has just stayed at +1.50 for years now. But you should try and get them at your drug store as they typically have an eye...

    $15 Eyeglasses?

Another testiment to Zenni Optical. I ordered the $12.95 stainless steel full-rim frame with spring hinges and they fit perfectly. No adjustment needed. And I got them only 10 days after I placed my order. My vision (near sightedness) is not that bad. I only need them for driving. And no...

    About Catalytic Converters

Like paulo57509, I too live in California and recently used Magnaflow's CARB certified converters to pass smog due to high NOX. The numbers went down quite a bit. I installed them myself. Exact same fit as the originals. They bolted up no problem and are very well made.

DONT FORGET TO CHECK YOUR PSI

In California, it is now mandatory to have your tire pressure checked. http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/tire-pressure/tire-pressure.htm I found this out when I took my car to be smog checked. I was asked if I had checked my tires recently for the correct PSI. I thought he was joking, but was dead...

    The Dukes of Hazzard

What I remember is that my friends and I were saying that they were destroying all those Chargers. We were Mopar fans. At the time, I thought I read an article that they had like 22 Chargers and a dozen cop cars on hand for the stunt scenes needed. And who could resist Daisy Duke.
