    Mobil 1 0w40 - 14,540 mi - 2007 750i - BLS and Wix

It is 8L, about 8.5 qts. It was down about 1/3 of a quart at 12,000 mi and I was going to add a bit but never got around to it. It was still less than 1/2 quart down when when it was changed.

    Mobil 1 0w40 - 14,540 mi - 2007 750i - BLS and Wix

Since I bought so many Wix kits when they were on super sale at Amazon I decided to send this sample to both Blackstone and ALS for comparison, planning to only send to ALS from now on. The results look great and very comparable between the two which is nice to see. I would like to see fuel and...

    another frankenbrew question

Why would you not just use the extra .5 qt at the next oil change? What is the point of saving them?

2010 Honda Fit, 3,050 miles, factory fill

I think it's hard for anyone to give you any good input now because everything you've done to this point has been so random. 1. You dumped perfectly good FF oil with 6.2 TBN at 3000 mi. 2. That was replaced with some frankenbrew of I'm not sure what. 3. Then you ran ST 5w20 dino for 9,118 mi...

    Acura RDX 6000mi/6mo Mobil 1 5w-30

Stout isn't a word I would use to describe 5w30 that ended up a 20 weight. Between mine, the 5w20 posted today and this one I think I'm seeing a trend.

    Mobil 1 5w20 - 7,127 mi - 2003 F150 5.4L

I ran Mobil 1 5w20 for the first time in this after using GTX 5w20 since it was new. I can't say it did a bad job, but not any better than the Castrol. Also the 100 cSt of 7.37 seems pretty low. It has M1 5w20 EP in it this time and I was planning on 9k if this one looked good. That seems...

    Mobil 1 0w40 - 14,828 mi - 2007 750i

This is the second sample that was tested for this engine. There was also a short run of Synpower 5w30 in between the two that wasn't tested since it won't be used again. The 0w40 did a great job as far as I can tell. Nickel is kind of odd but I don't know what that might indicate. Silicon was...
