Yes, the BMW Specification is what my transmission requires. The ZF ATF fluid also meets it. Does that mean they are the same or if Pentosin makes it ? The Pentosin is fully synthetic. Is it ok to mix these ?

Here is a pretty technical question for the chemists among us. I wonder which additive or additives make an oil a long lived oil like BMW LL-01 oils (Castrol 0-W40 or Mobil 1 0-W40)?

Given the choice between MaxLife semi-synthetic 5W-30 and the full synthetic SRT 0W-40, I would go the SRT every time. I would not add anything extra to the oil, use it As Is. Did you get a good deal on some SRT ? Yes, I bought 7 quarts at the Autozone clearance.
