Old Delco Remy direct drive starters in old GM vehicles. Especially when they are new or freshly rebuilt they have a nice clean zzzzzzing sound to them.
I used Ac Delco 10-4014 synchromesh friction modified MTF in my 98 Honda Civic and it has been working great and shifts nice and smooth. I would give this a try in your CRX. It's expensive at about $15 a quart but I think it's worth it.
I broke a power steering pulley on a 1991 Chevy Lumina I had several years ago and replaced it with a Dorman power steering pump pulley and it fit right and worked fine with no problems.
At 0 degrees I would make sure that the battery electrolyte is not frozen before you try to jump it or charge it. You don't want to risk a battery explosion trying to charge a frozen battery. If it is frozen I would just get a new one.
AZ used to sell oil filters under there Valucraft brand name. I don't know if they sell them any more but they were made by champion labs and were ecore filters the last time i saw them.
I had the same problem with my 97 quest. It would idle so rough you could feel it while sitting in the van. So i replaced plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor and it still idled rough. The i suspected the distributor but this one has a different distributor than the 99 up quest so i replaced all 6 fuel...
You have to remove the rust that builds up between the mounting brackets and the anti rattle clips. As the rust build up under the anti rattle clip it lifts the clip up reducing clearance making the new pads fit tight. You can grind the pad ears down a bit but the proper way is to remove the...
I think a 1998 ford escort should use 5w30 oil. Try a good high mileage oil like valvoline maxlife and forget the lucas oil stabilizer it's useless garbage.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the info i bought i filter today but i will keep an eye on them to see if they drop the price even lower and then i will get more.
Hi All! With all the media tears associated with the purolator classic and pureone i was wondering if there are any issues with the purolator synthetic oil filter? I can't see any media tears happening with the metal screen backed media but are there any other issues to be concerned about? I was...
It was -13 degrees f in the chicago area on monday and my 187,000 mile 1997 nissan quest with PYB 10w30 and Fram Tg oil filter started up ok with a little lifter clatter that went away in a few seconds. Plus start JCI battery is 2 years old and didn't complain at all.
I believe that is one of those china made oil filters probably ok but no thanks! I will stick with my usa made wix, Purolator, fram, motorcraft, etc oil filters
I would not worry about it as long as the battery passes a load test. I would just keep it clean be sure to use an acid neutralizer and then rinse it well with water. An acid film will form on the top most wet cell batteries over time it is not a sign of failure unless it is leaking from a crack...
I have a Michigan industrial tools torque wrench that goes up to 250lbs. It's at least 24 inches long so you can get a lot of leverage out of it. Look one up on ebay.
First i would start by replacing the wires and plugs if that does not cure your missfire problem then look at replacing the coils but i bet new wires and plugs should fix it.
I have a vector VEC1097 digital smart control 2/10/30 amp battery charger with an 80 amp engine start thats made in china that was around $70 that i have had for around 5 years that works well.
It is fully automatic and has a desulfate mode an alternator test mode and an equalize mode as well...
I have had really good luck with brand new airtex water pumps. I have installed airtex pumps on several of my cars and i have not had any of them leak on me. I just installed a bosch water pump on my 1997 mercury villager the pump is made in china but looks well made only time will tell.
Are you referring to the pad in the middle of the rear suspension where the control arms connect to? If the 1996 lumina is like my 1992 lumina that is a jack pad and you can jack up the whole rear end by that pad i have done it many times with no damage.
There is nothing wrong with cardone remfd calipers and fenco remfd calipers are ok also. I have used both brands and i have never had any problems. I feel cardone would be the best but fenco is just as good in my book.

Why! What is wrong with spectra radiators? I have a canadian made spectra in my 1992 chevy lumina it has been in there 3 or 4 years with no problems at all. I have also had spectra radiators in several other...
