    Always synthetic, never dino. OCI what manual recommends, but minimum of 10kkm, usually 15kkm. Any car any condition. Wasting oil is crime. Any filter goes, but if i have to choose i take the expensive one. One filter one oil change.

    This 30-40wt oils in European cars thing is comparable to the American short (3-6k miles) OCIs. I think it's a habit.

    New battery and full synthetic oil is all you need. If our battery is old (about 5 years or more), replace it. Use block heater when you can, it reduces fuel consumption, emissions and eases engine stress/wear. I have no experience of oil pan heaters, but i guess they work ok. Never seen battery...
