Slight offtopic, but i just tested Macrium, it was confusing and i hate useless backround prosesses, Windows has scheduled task already. Driveimage XML is much clearer and lighter. Just make UBCD4Win cd and it's there for rescue with many other usefull tools. Macrium had Linux rescue cd too...

This 30-40wt oils in European cars thing is comparable to the American short (3-6k miles) OCIs. I think it's a habit.

In that chase i think oil pan heater would help.

New battery and full synthetic oil is all you need. If our battery is old (about 5 years or more), replace it.
