My beloved 2009 Mazda 6 3.7L just had a catastrophic engine failure on Saturday at 126K. Either get rid of it or replace the water pump if you are near 100k.

I replaced my plugs yesterday and it took about an hour, easy work. I used the NGK LTR6IX-11 or 6509 that I gaped to 0.053 cost me around $44. Seems to run the same but the old plugs are showing age. I took the time to wipe out the throttle body also it had some soot in it. 83,080 miles Gaps...

I think they are from the factory, they state 100,000 or 60,000 miles for schedule "A" or "B" Factory plug part #s CY01-18-110. I'll keep you posted when I do mine in a few weeks.

Any updates? I'm getting ready to do mine @ 83,000 miles. I ordered NGK LTR6IX-11. Did you leave the gap or change it to Mazda specs?

+1 use one that has been through the drier, I use them on the front of my computer to catch the goodness. If they are wrinkled just iron them flat and cut with scissors.

Here's some GREAT oil with "real" ratings/specs. To even meet ACEA spec the oil must pass very strict wear tests, cam wear being one of them. So if the bottle wears the ACEA badge you can rest assured that it will perform. Plus being "High Mileage" it has extra detergent and seal conditioners...

If the owners manual states Xw-20 oil then your GTG.

My Jeep's NV3550 loves Pennzoil! I have used RP but drained it do to "recommended" wording and went with stuff the "Meets" DC's requirements.
