    just picked up an old bike!

    No pictures yet, it is in parts. Took the carbs off and one of them had a stuck float and needle valve. It was so stuck I had to pry the needle valve out with a screw driver. It is all cleaned up now and ready for re-aasembly. This should clear up my issues and then off to the land of clutches...

    I painted my Motorcycle gas tank and side covers and it looks real nice..now for the question; Do I need to finish sand before I clear coat? If so, what grit and how does the shine come back? I am afraid to wet sand because it dulls the finish and I am not sure if the clear coat will revive it...

    Thanks for the help. I guess that will have to do til I get the temp gauge working. Just don't want to ride til I make sure it is not running hot! Just changed the oil over to Shell Rottela, next I will clean and service the cooling system.

    There is a picture on Sweptline.org website you can go there and look for my posts etc...usdart is my user name. I am repairing gauges and little stuff on it now. Don't want to drive without fuel gauge, oil light or temp gauage. Only thing left to fix is the fuel tank float..and I have one.
