Ah ah ... Oh oh ... OK
The "504 00 / 507 00 / C3" oil without the API "donut" that says "Made in Austria" on the back of the bottle?
Thanks for the info ....
Joe
P.S. Another oil produced without API...
I run the Amsoil PCO in my Yanmar engine. Don't run extended drain intervals. Before the price increases last year, the quantities I purchased this oil at calculated to $4.175/quart.
My little Yanmar diesel loves it; the engine is clean -- 306.9 hours on it in just under 500 days; stout oil for...

As dnewton3 (and others) suggested and after trying 5W-30 and 10W-30 oils, I went with 15W-40. The little tractor started using oil on the 5W and 10W oils .... Oil usage...
Thanks for all the good information ....
BTW I use the tractor at s-l-o-w speeds 95% of the time cutting grass, two to three times a week, usually for several hours at a time. That is probably considered s-e-v-e-r-e use, requiring servicing much more often. The tractor has no oil cooler --...
... and that's the rub.
The OM states the preferred oil as a 10W-30. The OM states that one should choose the viscosity based on the temperatures expected until the next OC.
10W-30 oil, according to the temperature chart provided by the manufacturer of the tractor, is good up to a temperature...
I have a John Deere with a 3-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine. The OM calls for "preferred" John Deere Plus-50 10W-30 DEO. (The 5W-30 is called for below some unimaginable low temperature.)
I live in and operate the tractor in SC -- hot humid SC. Temperatures can easily reach 100+ degrees in the...
The year was 1974. WIX was the brand -- 51302 cartridge oil filter for my late father's 1964 IH 424 Diesel tractor, as well as a WIX 33254 spin-on fuel filter. NO air filter, you changed the oil in the oil bath!

Thanks for the advice and information ... I have decided on the John Deere Plus 50 15W-40 HDEO. I'm here in sunny, hot, dry SC; and we've been having 98, 99 and 100+ degree days here lately.
I don't think multi-viscosity SAE 30 weight oil does well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I believe the 40...
Hi, I'm new ...
Need help ... have question(s).
Here goes:
Will be receiving NEW John Deere 2305 CUT in a couple of weeks. John Deere ships their tractors with Break-In Oil (10W-30). Break-In period ends at 50 hours. Question: After break-in period is ended, what weight oil should I use --...
