Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus

Subbed to this thread. I have ran DWS eon's ago. Sidewalls seemed on the softer side With climate change and milder winters, I am thinking if:when my other set of 315/30/22 PS4S needs new tires, I may convert this particular set to All Season ---In Which Conti DWS makes in this size and run...

Made the Wrong Snow Tire Decision

All I run on all the cars is PS4S 9 months out of the year. Was mildly considering doing a set of AllSeasons-non seasons for the *snow shoes* but decided on dedicated snows for those occasional skiing runs

Made the Wrong Snow Tire Decision

I'm pretty good when it comes down to rubber selection.... New Car - Knowing Winters Have been getting milder and milder each year. For 22" Winter Season, I put on 1400 miles on the new snows. Wifey put most of the mileage so I don't have any real data points. And in my mind, when I was...

    LL-01 FE 0W-30

 I thought I saw it all on the Costco return line with mattresses, kids car seats, winter jackets being returned in the summer and the usual abuse that comes with it but I guess every store will have that sorta customer... Just noticed there is a FCP LTG thread over here at Bitog. 14...

    Modern Vehicle Dashboard

It's cheaper to design and build - across all platforms. Don't get me started on buttons. That is one the reasons why I we traded in early and scooped up one with real buttons....

    Michelin Pilot Sport AS4

For those who have run Pilot Sport AS4 compounds, how has you experience been in the literal sense of ~all seasons~ I am considering this for one car who's snow shoes are due and instead of summer/snow compounds, going the All Season route. With all this global warming and all, winters have...

When do you install your winter tires?

I scrolled through this but I no one seems to have brought it up. Is the transition from summer rubber to dedicated snows or *all seasons* to dedicated snows... I run summers/snows so once the weather forecast dictates it, is when the snows go on. Yes, it's hard to predict when you have a...

    Grease / Anti on Wheels

Never a huge fan of AntiSieze on exposed applications - in this discussed, the wheel hub . Since I am removing the wheel, I am going to take the opportunity to remove on this *new car* the rotor retaining screw and put some anti-sieze on it Snow shoes going on, summer shoes come back on in...

    Battery Load Tester - Midtronics

Got a 4 year 2 month old AGM Autozone Battery on the charger right now. It's been quite some time since I've ever done this. How accurate or not is this Load Testers that Autozone uses - if I recall, those MidTronics were fairly accurate. Man, like everything, Looks like the same...

    Penzoil Euro LL01

I found a -stash- in my garage of Penzoil Euro 5-40 today. Did a quick eyeball. It is LL01 rated. It's probably been sitting in there for at -least- a decade +. I think I probably tried it once or twice, and just went back to GC. Anyhow, just posting here. Who here likes the Euro 5-40 over GC ...

WWYD: N63 : Break in Oil

Indeed. The verbiage states as such The BMW Longlife-14 FE+ and BMW Longlife-17 FE+ oil specifications are not suitable for the 50i gasoline engine. And in a different part of the the same page When selecting an engine oil, make sure that the engine oil has a suitable viscosity grade. The...
