    '05 civic si, Rotella T6 (5w40). 10k interval.

Thanks for the info guys. The filter was a regular purolator for both samples. This is the 3rd T6 oil change. The vast majority of miles are semi-congested highway miles (for locals, the LIE & NS Parkway). Lots of full throttle lower/mid rpm driving, mixed with extended-time partial throttle...

    '05 civic si, Rotella T6 (5w40). 10k interval.

Hey guys, another boring k-series oil analysis: - Stock k20A3, currently 106,000 miles. - No oil consumption/makup. - Rotella T6 5w40, 10,000 interval, (aprox. May - late August in the northeast US). The results column on the right of the "Unit Locations Avg" block are previous results: 10k...

    SCCA Champion

Very cool! Congrats!!... I've never seen an impreza that planted in the rear, most seem to be a bit tail-happy if off the gas. Any issues with the dunlops "tearing" apart? Few NY guys have had that issue, then again our surface is nearly rally-cross compared to that vid. ps~ appears the grip...

    Mobil 1 5w-30 5,390 Miles 2002 Civic SI

Nice to see other EP3s doing well! I've read the cam galling was limited to the first 1-1.5 years of production, the camshaft metallurgy was improved after that point.

    5w30 PP, 10k interval, '05 Civic SI

Hey all, 2005 Civic SI, 54k total miles, 10k miles on 5w30 PP. (May 26th - Oct 2nd). 5 quarts, honda filter. 10k is Honda's non-severe oil change interval for the EP3. Driving habits: Commuter car, vast majority of the miles are partial throttle in 5th gear, except for a few merges onto the...

    Autocrossers - post your pics/stories!...

Wow, those are some amazing runs James! Nice cars too haha. What camera setup are you using? I'm thinking of getting the "go hero" cam... From what I've seen, your area autox courses are much faster than ours, not my car (unfortunately), but the last event/course I participated in...

If I could spec a Mustang...

    - The 5.0 DOHC Cammer engine in a rating around 400 hp. - T-56 6-speed transmission. - big brake/handling package. Maybe delete some "extra" stuff like the big stereo, power seats, etc. as part of a sports option. - Highly unlikely wish but independent rear suspension would be nice too...

Compiled a list of tires I've owned.

The first three tires get very similar reviews, but their prices differed wildly: Futura LTE - Bad, on par with the RE-92s listed below, but a fraction of the price. Bridgestone RE-92 - oem tires on my 2004 impreza, fairly bad traction, amazingly soft sidewall, horrible wet weather traction...

How many of you go 7500 miles on conventional oil?

I do 7,500 intervals on my 1989 accord, analysis results came back looking great, here's a link to them in the analysis forum: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1457187#Post1457187

Congrats on the win!... I hear ya, I owned a '04 impreza RS that I did events with, always a tricky car to do slaloms sections with.

1989 Honda Accord LX-i 108,000 total miles, 7,500 miles on oil (Shell Formula 5w30). Sump holds 4qts. Almost all highway miles, and I baby the car (almost never full throttle, and almost always shift before 3k rpm): Although

    Oil changes since '80s?

I usually use 5w30 motorcraft semi-synth, zero oil consumption as of yet. The 7.5k intervals were prescribed by honda at the time, except under severe conditions, my car rarely sees over 3k rpm, & is almost exclusively a highway-travel car that does over 35k miles/year. Thanks for all the...
