Should I change belt on zero turn mower?

I'm the OP with an update. I'm finally making progress. First thing, I needed to move the mower away from a wall and into the center of my working area of the garage. But the battery was dead. It was six tears old. So new battery installed, moved mower and inflated tires. Used my floor...

Should I change belt on zero turn mower?

They are the original blades from when I bought it new nine or ten years ago. They probably should have been removed to be sharpened before now but they haven't.

Should I change belt on zero turn mower?

I actually bought the replacement blades last summer. I sprayed WD40 on the bolts and let them sit. Then banged on them with a hammer to try to loosen them but I couldn't get the bolts off to remove the old blades. Then I figured it would be best to wait for the off season and remove the deck...

Should I change belt on zero turn mower?

I've got a Toro 48" deck zero turn mower that I'm going to change blades on. The mower is at least nine years old and has 160 hours on it. The first few summers I had 1.5 acres to cut but the last seven years just a half acre. Since I'll be taking the deck off to replace the blades would it...

Who is the preferred lab for oil analysis now?

Thanks for your reply Subie. So far I haven't gotten to the point of buying six quarts to do an oil change. If I do, I'll do a UOA. I could try it in the wife's Seltos. What she doesn't know won't hurt her. :sneaky:

Who is the preferred lab for oil analysis now?

I have a quart of unopened Fram (Amalie) 0W-30 Full Synthetic that I keep in the car as an emergency top off if needed. It meets the specs for my car SP and GF-6. I did a search but the word 'Fram' returns a million results because of all the filters in use. So I thought it might be fun to get a...

Fram oil: have you used it and your thoughts?

A few weeks ago it was $7.99 a qt at my AA and no 5 qt jugs.

What about Fram 0W-30 for my 2.5 Turbo

It doesn't appear that Fram sells the 0w-30 in 5 quart jugs, so I would have to get 6 quarts at 7.99 each. I'll probably stick with the QS or Valvoline 5W-30 in 5 quart jugs and add a single quart of Fram 0W-30 t to make six.

What about Fram 0W-30 for my 2.5 Turbo

My vehicle is a '23 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited AWD with the 2.5T engine. The oil requirements are 6.13 qts of 0W-30, API SN Plus/SP or GF-6. I've got about 9700 miles on the car. I will be changing oil from here on at approximately 4000 mile intervals. I'm coming up on a change in the next week or...

Fram seems to be in favor now

I haven't paid much attention to filters for a while. Maybe because I have just been buying the OEM oil filters. I've noticed that now days Fram oil filters are many times suggested for use when someone askes about what oil and filter to use. A while back (10 or 15 years, I guess), Fram was the...

Test drove a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

I'm doing the prep work for my wife possibly getting another car soon. She currently has a '21 Kia Seltos (which came out mid-year of '20) which she likes. So I was at the Kia dealer to check out the newest Seltos. I wasn't overly impressed with the new one nor the Sportage either. There is a...
