    k and n

I purchased a K&N filter last year for my Camry 92. I also was a believer, until I red convincing information about the filter inability to filter smaller particles, even though these particles they may not arm the engine....why take the risk...So I went back to Wix (Napa Proselect. I think it...

    extended oil changes and condensation?

I have been changing the oil myself for about 2 years, having a Toyota 92 Camry 2.2 and an oil filter easily accessible(top of the engine), this convinced me to give it a try...it is very easy and you know that the job is well done.

I went Walt Mart the other day, I looked at some of the Fram filters and one of them had a black piece of circular rubber loose inside it. it did not look right...I hope people check their filters before installing them.

    Napa Proselect Filters

I looked at pictures of the Proselect sold in the USA and the one sold in Ontario - the one in Ontario (made by Wix) looks very much like the Napa Gold sold in the USA (except for the white color here) - the adbv on both are pratically identical. The filter media though maybe different.

    My Napa is slamming Fram.

I purchased some NAPA pro-select oil filter here in Ottawa Canada ($4.99)...I noticed that the anti-drain back valve on it seems to be identical to the NAPA gold sold in the USA - Are we getting better deal here ?

    Wix or Puralator Air Filter?

I'll switch a Wix air filter for my Camry 92 - it seems to be a good compromise between air flow and efficiently. I am not sure how often should I change it though, I'am mostly doing city driving with occational long trips (1000kms+) - Thanks.

    Toyota 5SFE owners please

I recently switched to NAPA Proselect (Wix) from Denso (made somewhere around Thailand)...I find those Denso filter don't seem to be as sturdy as the ones made in the USA. Engine sounds happy with NAPA, no probem with oil flow and oil pressure.
