Not sure about that… I have never leaked or noticed any oil consumption with it.. maybe first oil change under 10K miles burned a little but since then none….

Google duramax typewriter tick and report back… it’s normal noise and seems more noticeable right after oil change…. Did it on my 2011,2015 and now 2020+ models

All of my (03-12 and 15) Duramax powered trucks have done this after the first oil change, tick slowly fades away as the oil gets some miles on it...

Hey bobs oil peeps. I have a 2021 gmc 2500 duramax that has the normal typewriter tick with Fresh oil and goes away as I put miles on it. I think GM says it’s air bubbles popping around the crank. I have been running amsoil 15w40 w/ amsoil filter…. Any thing better or recommended
