    2015 Tacoma 4.0L 1GR-FE Amsoil SS 0w-30 31.6k mi OCI

Yup. Most auto parts stores will take your used oil for recycling. Some not all can take filters. Totally agree with dropping the OCI down; 31k is obviously too far. Despite the TBN still being good, the oil has thickened out of grade even at 24k, indicating to me that it is nearing capacity...

I knew it!! All new music is the same.

Check out this guy's position -- it's what I've been saying for years -- actual analysis shows that today's music is....not original and pretty much the same. Discussion?

    Kia 600k

I remember in the early 2000s, they were selling a Kia Rio for $13,000, and a second one for $1. At that time, engines were going bad under 30,000 miles. I think "never" is enough Kia for me.

Power loss in reverse while backing out of my driveway - 2022 Dodge Durango GT Plus AWD - Pentastar V6 - 850RE

Shot in the dark: Could be a loose electrical connection, or maybe a bad sensor. The intermittent nature says "electrical" to me.

    Dealing with Insurance

Found one on Autotrader with 163k. Called the dealer, and they said they are putting it on the market for $4695. So based on the difference in mileage I don't think $2000 to $3000 would be unreasonable for replacement cost. Best of luck Creekside, let us know what happens.

    Dealing with Insurance

This. They have to return your mother to where she was before the accident… That is, with a vehicle in good condition of that same year and approximate miles. So find three examples of her vehicle at current market price and submit those to the other insurance company as comps. Be sure to...

    Oil Drain Hell

Oh most definitely accelerated wear, but it was still running fine with no knocking. Bet they could do the head gasket and 3-4 oil changes and it would be good to go -- but without disassembly we will never know how much damage occurred. With the lack of real substance here, this dude could...

Valvoline’s Lubricant Product Line to be Acquired by Saudi Aramco?

Can't say I like the idea of another American company sellling out to a foreign interest. Guess it's globalization in action. Begs the question - why would Valvoline drop their lubricant business - which has kept them successfully in business for a very long time - in favor of the oil change...

    A quart is now ???

Yup! And before that, they made the bottle bigger, advertised "new bigger bottle, 32oz at 28oz price". Then left it there, increased the price to get ready to shrink it.

    Oil Drain Hell

OK milkshake, 3 minutes of content and 9 of this guy complaining about his own mistake. Where's the substance, man![referring to video maker] was it head gasket or something else? He kept saying the engine was done, but that might not have been the case. Certainly accelerated wear, but...

Take a guess on the problem

LOL true and funny at the same time! My vote is plugs cap and rotor. Had numerous vehicles in the past that ran fine when it was dry but acted up when wet. PC&R fixed it every time. When it's hot, moisture gets burned off so no barrier to good spark. Not saying it couldn't be the "fuel...

    Running 5w-40 oil in B58

What year and model BMW is this in? I usually go with the Australian specification. For example our 04 CRV is specified 15w-40 in Australia. Checked the Penrite Australia site to see what your B58 uses there. A 40 grade should be fine.

    Well this was unexpected.

"the state" is whackadoodle. As far as the truck is concerned, sounds like it's time to order a new radiator, install, and send the bill to Peterbilt.

Something different - HPL Super Car 0w-40 for the SRT
