Is SAE 30wt (non detergent) still what to use in a piston air compressor? I can get Cetus but only in 5 gallon pails, which would last me probably a lifetime. Compressor holds maybe 1.5-2 quarts.

I have about 175 gallons of Delo Syn ATF and Delo SynGear XDM 75w90. It's about 160 gallons gear oil and 15 gallons ATF. Pretty much looks like gear oil but a bit darker than normal. Usable as gear oil or burn it? It's about $6500 of product.

Seems like most on here are using Blackstone Labs? I use Schaeffer Oils and they have a free analysis program. I'm starting to wonder if I'm missing something though, as I have lots of miles on the oil on this car as well as a couple other vehicles I own. This is for a 2005 Jetta TDI BEW engine...
