    New Oil !!!!

This oil made my 2003 Bullet Blaster kart feel sluggish. I think I lost 2 seconds per lap to Peach and Daisy. Blackstone noticed a lot of SI, but that I think was from 2 back-to-back Cup races at Waluigi Stadium on the same OCI. I am going to try Wario 5w40, which is a GIII hydrocrack, next...

Your opinion...Oil Change, then Blown Main Seal

Wonder what some folks might think: Short: Chain store changed oil in car. 50 miles later main seal dropping oil like a sieve. What do you think? Long: Mother-in-law needed a car. I sign over my old trusty ’93 Accord 3 months ago. Last week it needed front brakes. Since it has about 160k, I...

    Thugs Killed in New Orleans

Yup. Looting = Snagging a cart full of DVD players Finding Food = Breaking into a flooded-out store to find some dry Twinkies to feed your starving kids. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy what the folks on the Gulf Coast are going through right now.

    Great Article on GM/Daewoo Engineering

Thanks K_r!!! So GM has been working with Daewoo for quite a while, not just since the buy-out? I hope GM takes care of the GMDAT group and harvests good development/products. Anyone remember the green TVs marketed in the U.S. by Daewoo in the late 80's???

    1984 VW Rabbit Diesel Oil?

I ran M1 15w50 in my Rabbit diesels, before the hydro cracked 15w40s showed up. Up there, I would go with a syth. 5w40 winter, conventional 15w40 summer. Any major brand will work fine...don't sweat the small stuff. Oh yea, OE filters are nice, like Mann & Mahle, but anything OTHER THAN the...

suggest st.wagon/small suv for Mom-In-Law, please

I'll bet she would be happy with a Focus wagon. I think the wagon looks better than the coupe, 5 door and sedan...and the wagon has gobbs of room and is fairly fuel efficient...now that gas is $3.50/gal!

    Tire for mileage

Although this horse is dead, I would not recommend the RE92 to anyone. I had them OE on 2 cars. It usually has poor treadlife and the shoulders close-up at about 30% wear, increasing hyroplaning. Other Bridgstones are great, especially the Potenza line, and even the re-labled ones sold by...

Diesel Car owners. Wanna know your experiance.

I bought the wife a new VW TDI back in 2001. By 2002 I was ready to dump it. Electrical gremlins and then drivetrain issues were almost non-stop. They have made a few improvments, but are still having issues. If you REALLY need a VW and are looking used, get a 2004. Previous years are BIG...

suggest st.wagon/small suv for Mom-In-Law, please

I have seen a few Chevy HHRs around. Those look neat and are on a fairly good/proven chassis. Both, the 2.2 and 2.4 Ecotech are plenty powerfull, but the power comes at the price of fuel economy. GM is really getting their ducks in a row, regarding quality, warranty, and products.
