Does oil after cold winter contains more gasoline ?

You are looking at the viscosity when the engine is hot, a 5W30 is a 30 weight when hot so you are still getting the 5W when cold, similar to a 5W20. at start up.

    Auto related draw to Tennessee

No income tax, I live in Chattanooga home of the VW plant. A 9.25% sales tax on everything. Yes, hot humid summers, rains from Dec thru March. VW was given incentives to build here, not sure the incentives ever balance out the contribution to the community, especially when people move here, no...

3 Month review of 2021 Toyota Venze LE

I test drove one, liked it but test drove the new Tucson Hybrid which is comparably equipped. For each model of the Hyundai Tucson it is about 5000-6000 less expensive than Toyota RAV 4 or Venza. . Warranty the same basically. The life of these hybrids is really the life of the battery pack...

Any idea to stop minor oil consumption?

Not really bad consumption, I would live with it until it gets really bad and you have to check it every week. Then have the seals replaced. Ot if it really bothers you and you are going to keep the vehicle indefinitely get the repair done.

Are CVT’s something to stay away from?

My last hybrid was a CVT and I loved it. Current vehicle a hybrid with a 6 speed, the CVT is the hands down winner. The 6 speed will hunt for the correct gear on a steep hill, the CVT was just smooth all the time and reliable.

    Tub refinish or overlay

Miracle Method in house we we about to sell. Finished product looked great, counter and tub were refinished. Based upon what I saw I think it would be years of use before any wear. I think two bathrrom counters and one tub were like 2000-3000, really smells for a day or so.

When to let that car go...

When the issue cannot be diagnosed by the dealer and it is a larger problem waiting to happen. How do...

    Home Buyers Skipping Home Inspection?

Also watch out for collusion. I swear some home inspectors get kickbacks from contractors, they find a problem and recommend a contractor to new buyer saying that only they can do the work. Seller is left with no sale or use the contractor

Asking for a review of "5 stars"

Daughter recently purchased a new Mustang E and I went with her to pick it up. A mess, they had add ons she never agreed to, forgoet her down payment, then a company discount. The paperwork had to be done 3 times due to the idiots behind the desk, not the sales person. Unfortunately only the...

    Roth IRA

The belief behind a Roth is that taxes in the future will be more than taxes today. In my case, the taxes (or tax bracket) for me today is lower than when I was contibuting to traditional IRAs working. So, I don't believe the Roth would have been a better route in my case. Not only is there a...
