I'm pretty sure he means he'll re-spray any areas that need it as part of the "touch-up". Ok, I'll see what his thoughts are on using one of those products instead. Your logic makes sense to me! I'd rather use something that won't wash off the first time we drive through a big puddle or something.

The 2018 is mine and we're planning on keeping that one for a while. The 2014 is my in-laws and I'm not positive but think they're planning on keeping that one for a while as well.

Hi all, I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox with the 2.0 engine. Wondering if premium fuel is actually necessary. The mannual says premium is recommended (not required). I can most easily get 87 or 91 fuel, 93 is hard to find in my area. The car seems to run about the same on 87 and 91, maybe slightly...

I also forgot that the rear of the 2018 got Akebonos when it was done last fall. Would it mess anything up if we put EHT3's on the front?

I'll probably end up ordering the EHT3's. The only reason I was on the fence is because a mechanic we trust recommended the Akebonos.

Out of curiosity have you ever tried the Akebonos?

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm going to place the order tomorrow and the EHT3's are what I'll likely end up going with. The older vehicle currently has Powerstop pads and rotors and they seem to ware out quickly, and the cold bite is terrible.

How are the dust and noise levels? I saw some posts saying those could be issues on some vehicles.

Does anyone know if the element 3 calipers are coted? Rock Auto's catalog says they are not but other sites say they are.

How much work does that involve, and is it actually cost effective? The remans are $38 on RA and the new ones are $57.

I was also going to order calipers on RA and return them if I don't end up needing them. If I order with PayPal they will refund the return shipping. I can get Raybestos reman coted or element 3 new uncoted. Which would you recommend?
