QSUD 5W-20 new dexos labeled bottles PICS

Family dinner conversation [hypothetical of course but not far off ]: Family: Anything new and exciting over the past few days? Me: Yes! Actually I saw new bottles of oil at Walmart yesterday and took pictures and posted them onto an internet forum dedicated to car oil! Family: Oh ...did you...

QSUD 5W-20 new dexos labeled bottles PICS

I was at Walmart yesterday and spotted the new QSUD bottles in the 5QT with dexos labeling. They didn't have any older 5W-20 5QT bottles for me to take pics of. Prices remained the same as the older bottles. Also, I saw the new bottles in 5W-30, which had a different dexos license number...

    cat pee'd on luggage

I've found that the Nature's miracle works better when you can completely saturate and soak the affected area. Simply spraying on the surface doesn't sound like it'd get into the fibers enough. I wonder if the outdoorsmen store would have something to combat the odors if the pet store stuff...

    Buying Honda Parts online?

https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=194404&Number=2961330 This thread references almost all the online sources I'd use and recommend. Depending on where you are located and what you are buying, it may be worth it to compare at least a couple vendors for the best...

Critters chewing rubber hoses in my engine!

Make sure to protect the blinker fluid hoses, wouldn't want those to go out suddenly But on a serious note, what another user had mentioned, simply splicing with a barb would be ideal however looking at the picture you show, it looks rather close to where it enters that plastic shroud area. On...

    DIY: How to spark plugs 2009 Mazda6 3.7L V6

The other weekend I changed the spark plugs on my 2009 Mazda6 3.7L V6. It wasn't as difficult as I had thought.I didn't take pictures of every single step, so in-between details were not photographed and should be relatively easy to figure out. This is a hastily put together DIY so I will likely...

    Sway Bar End Link Trouble

Since you're replacing anyhow, hacksaw it off if there's enough room for the blade. If there's not, use a vice grip pliers to hold whatever part of the stud is exposed, back the nut off a little, then hacksaw. Or, JB weld a disposable hex key in the rounded hole and use that to keep it from...

Brakes squeak under light braking only.

To more directly address the OP's question, when you replaced the pads, did you replace the associated disc brake hardware? I often find that noise that you describe can be due to re-using the old clips/hardware which can produce less than optimal alignment of the pad, less than optimal...

    Never seen this before

I had to change out these tires due to fronts being at cords, so I do not have the tires anymore. However, I was able to snap a couple pictures of one of the tires that showed this behavior (more than one showed this behavior at least one 255/40R18 and on of the 225/40R18 that I can recall). All...

Another thing to check yourself - tire wear

Here's a great tip given to me just recently where you can check the inside wear on your tires almost weekly [or daily depending on what you drive lol]: Whatever side you fill-up your gas on, turn the wheel all the way left or right that way. You're waiting on filling up the tank anyway, and...

New brakes squek upon takeoff after 1000 miles

Surface rust will always develop on the pad swept area of the rotor's face, value rotors or premium [sans carbon rotors]. For the non-swept surfaces, you can purchase 'premium' rotors that are coated to help prevent rust from showing on those parts, but I have never really heard of an [iron]...
