I use it and/or Archoil 9100 in all of my oil. I see a 1% decrease in fuel usage and measurable improvements using the Bosch iNVH Android app. There is lots of moly in the Ceratec which is good for quieting timing chains.

Under-specced coilpacks and heat are a killer of coilpacks on my RX-8. I upgraded to aftermarket LS1 based V8 coilpacks from Black Halo Racing, all happy now. So yes if they are insufficient from the get go. A forum search for your car type should show if there are a lot of coil problems...

Redline SI-1 has more PEA per $ than Gumout Regaine if that’s what you’re looking for in the fuel system but Gumout Multi can be used in the oil sump. Techron sold in a bottle doesn’t actually have that much PEA according to recent MSDS, so Redline wins there too.

The issue I see (which you may or may not have) is due to the oil pump flailing in those first couple of seconds if of you have a transient seal leak letting in air. Most likely at the oil pump o-ring or oil filter gasket. This is getting more common with the “newer” variable displacement oil...

I live in California so cars are sort of immortal if you take basic care of them as there aren’t any rust issues here. So why not drive a 10+ year older car?

I’ve seen a lot of cars have the oil pump o-ring get bad/stiff. It aerates the oil on a dry start until it seals (probably due to a little bit of oil oozing in making a seal) and finally starts working after a couple of seconds. Try switching to a high mileage oil with a lot of seal conditioners...

Gumout Multi does have PEA (it’s right on the front of the can), and it is great for unsticking rings when added to the motor oil and fuel at the same time in my experience. Redline SI-1 has the most PEA per $ but put it in the fuel system only...
