I didn't realize how much of a difference to output that my cloudy headlight housings were having until I cleaned them up and got rid of the haze.

I do my oil changes at my parent's house since the city will pick up used oil on garbage days. The city I live in does not offer such a thing and the nearest AutoZone acts as though I'm asking them to personally throw my oil away when all they need to do is point to the collection bin.

All of my vehicles I've had for 15 years and have had no internal engine problems. 208k, 268k, and 21xk miles on the three of them. I've mixed various brands of oils/filters in all of them over the years, no discernible difference noticed.

I've got Coopers on my ZJ and they're fine. They were a slightly more affordable option for the dog-mobile and I have no complaints for them.

I've had a pair of Kumhos on my DD and my girl's DD maybe 10 years ago and both sets wore quickly vs. more premium brands that we had prior (Bridgestone for mine and Goodyears for her). They were fine, just wore quickly.

That is always my thought when thinking if I extend an OCI: just throw in a cheap combo oil & filter, do a short OCI, and consider it a clean OCI. Cheap investment.

Bought a ST filter for my dad's Saturn and a TG filter for my Civic. As I was opening the TG filter to make sure it WAS a TG, I noticed another random shopped eyeballing me.

Chevron Supreme and ST filter on my dad's '93 Saturn SL2. Swapped out a random shop filter on my '99 Civic, that I couldn't get off without an adapter, for a Fram TG. 3K on the oil so I'll change it out before my next smog and keep the TG on.

Oh hey thanks for the info on the Costco battery. Might just grab one this weekend since I'll be there anyways, see if that does the trick with the simple stuff first and age of existing battery.

It's in the garage charging and I'll clean the posts and connections before hooking it back up. Yeah, VIC reset and the radio stations/time all reset when this sort of thing happens. Not sure if it's related to the weird throttle issue but when that happens, the memory all resets too.
