    6 adults + 2 child seats in a minivan?

Adding in my 2 cents. I rented a 8 passenger 2015 Toyota Sienna for 9 days last week to travel from Arizona to Florida to Missouri then back to Arizona; 4k miles total. With 4 adults, 2 kids, and 1 car seat there was plenty of room (compared to the Honda Pilot my aunt wanted to take). However...

    Where to get an alignment?

I just did a complete refresh on my Golf's suspension and took it for an alignment at Lesueur car company in Tempe for $80. A little more than Pepboys but they work on a lot of Volkswagens. Edit: Just noticed that you are only replacing the outer tie rods. When I did mine a couple years ago, I...

    226k miles on Copper Plugs

Back in February I did a bunch of catch-up maintenance on my Uncle's 2005 Toyota Tacoma with the 4.0V6 engine in it. He has only replaced oil+filter and the cabin filter on the truck. Here's what the original copper plugs look like; original gap is 0.043in. I know they are original because of...

Rear end vibration after rear diff oil change HELP

Yes, I removed fill plug then drain plug. Reinstalled drain plug and filled until it dripped out of the fill hole. I didn't raise the car, just left it leveled.

Rear end vibration after rear diff oil change HELP

I should mention that it only vibrates when you accelerate. Once you let off the gas, it's smooth. Theres no noise.

Rear end vibration after rear diff oil change HELP

I'm posting for my uncle who has an 06 Tacoma TRD Off road that he bought new. He's decided to keep the car even longer since it's been treating him well and asked me to change all the fluids. The car has 216k miles and has only had oil changed and the cabin filter after the fan failed. I...

    TDI (ALH) oil change interval?

I have a 2002 VW Golf TDI manual with ~230k miles on it right now. I drive 100 miles a day on the highway with cruise set a 70, and do roughly 25k-30k miles a year. I use M1 TDT 5w40 and change it every 10k miles. Can I safely extend the OCI to 20k so that way it falls on major service? It burns...

    Toyota 2uzfe V8 5w30 or 5w20?

According to the Toyota oil chart, the 2003 Toyota Sequoia I have can run 5w20 (original spec 5w30). Normally, I run M1 5w30 and change every year or 7.5k. This vehicle is only used for long trips (>100mi) or towing the 3500lb boat 20 miles on flat terrain about 5 times a year. The vehicle has...

    Rotella T6 vs Mobil 1 0w40

The 2006 Audi A3 with 115k miles I have was burning a quart every 1k, but I had the dealer perform the PVC "extended warranty" (VW/Audi's way of saying it's not a recall but it should be). The warranty goes till 120k miles or 10 years, whichever is first. Now it burns about 1 quart every 4k of...

Yet again Oil Rec for 98 Honda V6

Hi guys, I love this forum and have been addicted to reading all the posts. After last week's oil change on my aunt's Honda Pilot, my other aunt wants me to change her Honda Accord's oil. 1. What kind of vehicle you have 1998 Honda Accord V6, 4sp Auto, with ~150k miles 2. What your owner's...

2007 Honda Pilot w/ VCM Oil Recommendation?

Thanks for all the suggestions; this community is awesome in providing help. I ended up getting M1 EP in 5w20 at Walmart. They were out of 0w20, but I'm sure this car will never see below freezing temps so it should be good.

2007 Honda Pilot w/ VCM Oil Recommendation?

Hi guys, I have a family member who has a 2007 Honda Pilot w/ the VCM who asked me to change the oil. The car has about 120K and is driven mostly on the highway at 50mph+. She commutes about 50 miles a day. I would say that most of the time, she uses cruise control which is good but I heard...

    Which 75w-140?

Thanks for all the replies for gear oil recommendation! I went with Valvoline SynPower 75w-140 at Autozone for $13/q ($60 total). I looked into the SAE J-2360, but could not find any locally available gear oil in 75w140. What should the interval be to replace the diff fluid? There's no mention...

    Which 75w-140?

I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with 120k miles; the diff fluid was replaced at 50k miles by Carmax. The manual calls for 75w-140 @3.9qt and I tow a 4000lb boat weather permitting. Are there any differences in gear oil brands? Which gear oil should I choose? Temps in Phoenix are as low 40F and as...

    Toyota Sequoia Valve Inspection

Just did a valve clearance inspection on a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with the 4.7L V8 (2UZ-FE) with 120k miles. The car was bought used with 30k miles dealer serviced in 2007 and switched over to synthetic 5w30, usually Castrol FST. The maintenance book calls for valve clearance inspection every 60k...
