Would passlock cause the dash lights not to come on? I tried the replacement lock cylinder case with the same results. Do you have any ideal where the passlock module is?

It was the electrical part of the switch not the lock cylinder.

I just got done with a head gasket install and roller cam upgrade. I put Mobil 1 10w30 in it Im gonna run it about 50 miles and drain it to make sure I get all the water out of the crank case. What would be a good oil to put back in it? I usually use Wix oil filters.

Looked up passlock on google and it listed two diffrent rests for passlock 1. The first was try to start the car and leave the key on for 10 mins. That didn't work but the 2nd way did: Turn key on and off 10 times and start car. I turned the switch on and off 10 times the dash lights came on...

Can hear the fuel pump kick on Im gonna check the fuel pressure. The fuses I have check have been good. How does the passlock system work?

Yeah Ill check them. Just noticed if you turn the key off and back on it will hit and run for a sec. but if you try to start it without turning it off and back on it just cranks.

Haven't jump started but it seems to crank very good.

I think it may have been a air pocket I filled the rad. Let it warm till the fan turned on and maybe 30 sec.s later it cooled off and turned off. I guess Ill see going to work.

Oil smells like oil. clean and clear light brown turned my idle down a little bit and noticed that the trq. converter is hmming and the tranny fluid is under the add mark. Could the torque converter make noise like that. Ill check the dist. cap also it was a raining so that could make worse.
