I would just stick with the 30. It's specd for a reason. 20 weight won't give you any true benefit over that

Granted I'm sure napa is cheap even off sale, I don't want to just run an oil cause it's on sale then switch to something else next oil change. I want to stick with 1 and price isn't an option

What's a 5w30 going to do that a 20 weight cant?

I get its not a high performance car by any means. But it does get run hard. My main question was basically if there is a 0w or 520 20 on the shelf that is better than the rest or which ones seem to be the best.

Why 5w30? Car is specd for 5w20 or 0w20

Master cylinders can fail and leak internally you will not see any sign of a leak. Based on your symptoms I would replace it. Usually not hard to do and not too expensive. Make sure if you do it yourself to bench bleed the master cylinder though.

The purpose of the argument was that he was trying to tell the guy to use like a 30 weight or 40. Then tried to say that a 5w20 is too thin and a 0w20 is way too thin and will hurt the car.

Girlfriend has a 12 Kia Forte (Hyundai motor) it's not direct injection but has a top end tick under small conditions as yours. I've found running an oem filter helped as well as quaker state ultimate durability or pennzoil platinum or ultra platinum.

I would definitely do mobil 1 0w40, castrol edge 0w40 or rotella t6 5w40. Rotella would probably be the best choice.
