    Champion Labs PH10063

This is a champ labs economy filter (according to rock auto) which recommends 3-5k intervals on these filters. I went 5500 miles on this one. Came off my 2019 Silverado 1500 running Valvoline 5w30 HM full synthetic. If you want to compare this filter to an AC Delco PF63 or the Supertech MP10575...

AC Delco PF63 and SuperTech mp10575

I would love to know that too. Disappointed to see the empty spot on the shelf.

AC Delco PF63 and SuperTech mp10575

Ah forgot about that. Switched it up to a Champ PH10063 filter with Valvoline FS high mileage 5w30. Will report back at around 5k miles.

AC Delco PF63 and SuperTech mp10575

ST filter. Basically the same, but the ST has a better anti drain back valve.

AC Delco PF63 and SuperTech mp10575

AC Delco PF63 (shown first) and a Supertech MP10575. Both came off my 2019 Silverado. Delco has 5000 miles and the ST has 5500 miles. Both 0w20 Valvoline Advanced.

Use Valvoline Restore Protect in VW without VW 508.00 oil specification?

It’s not a gimmick. It can work. In my experience, Mobil 1 was pretty disappointing in my VW. Sometimes burned up to 2 qts in between oil changes. Switched to liqui moly and the burning almost completely stopped. I’ve seen some VOA of Mobile 1 not looking that much different than Supertech...

Comparing Champ filters to AC Delco (hint, theyre the same)

I recently purchased 6 of these filters from rock auto for my Silverado and Buick Enclave. Without opening any filters I compared the Champ filter with a Supertech MP10575 that was used and sitting in my oil drain pan. The ST filter has a silicone drain back valve verses the Champs rubber...

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

Ah ok. Yeah I got these because I believe Walmart is going to stop selling some of these MP filters. I haven’t seen them at any of my Walmart locations for months.

I’m not saying your wrong but…..

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

Took more pics, side by side. Supertech has the silicon drain back valve and the Champ has the nitrile rubber drain back valve. I also noticed on the pleats for the champ filter that one side appears to be slightly separated, hopefully the uploaded pic shows it. Guessing that’s the seam. Super...

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

Yes. Some guys on their YouTube channels opened both AC Delco and Supertech filters and they were identical. The only difference was the sticker slapped on the blue can.

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

In case anybody is interested. Without cutting the filter open, the internals look the same as the Supertech filter except for the drain back valve. Its black on the champ filter verses orange on the supertech. Sorry the camera doesn’t want to focus inside the filter that well.

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

Thanks for the replies. For the price and my OCI intervals I just ordered 6 of the champion labs filters. I still have a used Walmart filter (MP10575) in my oil pan in the garage and soon will have a used AC Delco PF63 as well. After the champ filter is used and replaced I would like to open...

Oil flow rate. Plastic E core v. metal core filters.

Looking for a new favorite filter for my 5.3L 19 Silverado since Walmart keeps dropping the ball on their brand filters. I’ve always preferred the Champion Labs made plastic E core filters (pf63, mp10575, etc) versus the other brands that have the metal core filters like Fram or Wix. Visually...

    ACDelco PF63 C&P

A bit off topic but how does the truck run on 5w30? I have a 19 Silverado 5.3 and have been debating running 5w30 instead of 0w20.

    SuperTech MP Oil Filters

I always got the MP10575 for my Silverado and Enclave, since it’s basically an AC Delco PF63 with a Walmart sticker slapped on it. Haven’t seen any at my store in months. But I also don’t ever see the ST10575.

    2017 Buick Enclave hood sticker

Anybody have the above vehicle where the sticker indicating A/C information is legible? I know it takes R134A refrigerant but would like any additional information contained on the sticker.

Overfilled engine oil. How much is to much?

When I had my 16 f150 with the 5.0 it called for something like 7.7 quarts of oil. I always just put 8 in and it was never about the the full line. Speaking of bad dealership oil changes, I had a VW Passat for a few years. The first two oil changes were on VW. The factory fill was so clear I...
