I changed the plugs in my 05 Vic at 170K miles. They still looked good. There was zero difference in any kind of performance after the new Motorcraft plugs went in. I ran only 87 octane Mobil.

My 05 Crown Vic did the exact same thing. In my case it was the Accumulator. Took the independent mechanic awhile to find it. He keep putting Freon and Dye in for weeks till he finally found it.

I am not a believer. A couple of times I forgot to reset the OLM. Each and and every time it maxed out at 7500 miles. Did not matter if it was all highway or all gridlock. With that said I change out every 5K miles with 0w20 Mobil1 or 0w20 AC Delco.

Sounds like severe service to me. I am in 24/7 gridlocked Miami Beach. I use 0w20 Mobil 1 EP every 5K miles miles. Probably can go to 7500 miles but I sleep better doing it at 5K miles. Oil is a dark amber but not black at 5K miles . I use no oil between changes. This is also in constant jungle...

My buddy has a Trax like yours and his driving is similar to yours. His does the exact same thing. The Trax has a 1.4 engine so it has to strain a lot more then a V6 or larger engine. He lets it go to 5% before changing.

I would try to find a real good honest independent mechanic and fix it. Blend door is common issue in the Crown Vic. I had that issue but after a week the problem disappeared as it fixed itself. Eventually had to fix the accumulator and had a independent mechanic fix it. With that said I miss...

Only a Supervisor vehicle would be good. A couple of friends bought 2012-2014 Supervisor PPV Tahoe's with over 150K miles on them and had no issues with them. They got them from a dealer in New Jersey.

All my Ford Panthers made it till 300K miles with no major issues. Some Tahoe-Suburban owners I know also made it to 300K miles. All those vehicles get out on the highway often.

That is why I bought my Tahoe back in 2016 that holds 26 gallons. I can go between 500-600 miles on a tank of regular fuel on those long highway trips.

I would definitely go for the one with 5K miles changes. It would be awesome if Mobil 1 EP was used and the grade of oil used was the same as written on the oil cap. But that is just me. To each their own.

All my RWD [Crown Vic,Town Car,Caprice and 2 wheel drive Tahoe's] did well in the snow when I had to commute from NYC to upstate N.Y Via Palisade Parkway. My friends son bought a RWD PPV 2012 Tahoe for 9K bucks and it does very well in the snow in New Jersey.

Back in the 70's had a 73 Duster with the 3.8. Lived on West 92nd street in Manhattan and drove to upstate NY everyday to work. Weekends went to Seaside Heights New .Jersey. Had no issues with it. Even the a/c in it worked great. Had way over 100K miles on it before selling it for a V8 Caprice.

Used to be a awesome dealer in New Jersey [Town Motors Lincoln Mercury] who had a nice brunch [with tons of good food] once a month. Everyone in my crew that had a Ford product went there on those days. They also did not upsell wallet flushing services.

I find if you give the service writer a few bucks when you bring your vehicle in for service they do not hound you to do the wallet flushing services. With that said when looking for a good used vehicle I would rather have a dealership serviced vehicle that has all service records...High...

When I bought my Tahoe brand new back in 2016 took it on a road trip to NYC from Miami immediately with only 100 miles on it. Speeds were from 70-90+ MPH out on I-95. Have over 100K miles now and so far has been the best vehicle I ever owned.

Warm and humid here in Miami Beach. Was 86 yesterday. Central A/C is constantly kicking on. A lot of out of state vehicles tying up traffic everywhere you go.
