Air Filter and Cars That Run Rich

Most, if not all air filters are designed to significantly pass much more air than any engine's CFM capability.

Can a sludged engine run perfectly fine?

1992? I assume high miles? At this point keep on keepin' on. I also assume this things doesn't owe you anything. If it starts making noise , turn up the volume of your favorite rock or country station.

Not trolling, but all things being equal, why not just use SuperTech for everything?

A lot of people feel comfortable and secure by using name brands. Food, clothes, music, cars, and motor oil are good examples. It costs more , it's packaging is flashier, Indy car driver Joe Blow uses/endorses it, it's widely advertised. It must be better than all the rest right?🙄

2011 CROWN VIC POLICE PKG. OIL NOT CHANGED IN MONTHS, REPORTED "ENGINE KNOCKING" ??

I had no other issues except that they were both oilaholics. One was retired to the cemetery (bone yard) at close to 300k miles, and the other one was totaled out by insurance.

2011 CROWN VIC POLICE PKG. OIL NOT CHANGED IN MONTHS, REPORTED "ENGINE KNOCKING" ??

Nah. Most municipalities - local, state, and federal do the low bid option. Cheap(Specd API) oil and jobber level filters were likely used throughout the entire service life of their vehicles. Overwhelmingly the fleets all survived, and when head to auction they are in good running condition...

Pennzoil black label vs Supertech’s offerings

I usually do not support(purchase) the big name brands. I don't want to support a racing team, or pay for advertising campaigns. If an oil has a legit API starburst, and has SP, SN, SM, heck even SL certification and is reasonably priced, that is the oil I will purchase. In most cases there is...

    Oil Change By Hours?

If you do mostly driving(as most of us do) , as opposed to a significant percentage of idling, you should stick with miles.

    Oil Volume vs Temperature

Sure. I understand. Even with an adbv it can happen, however slowly. No worries man. Cheers
