Federal Mandate on Oxygenated Chemicals in Gasoline

All the terminals where I've ever loaded fuel, 90 rec is simply the 90 octane base stock. It still gets the same amount of detergent blend as 93E10. One observation, none of the branded fuels offer 90 rec. Any time I load it, it comes off a unbranded supplier such as ExxonMobil unbranded, Valero...

Never saw a posting like this on a fuel pump before- Stop Sale Notice

The state doesn't give warnings for that. If they find the product falls below the spec window...they shut it down on the spot.

Never saw a posting like this on a fuel pump before- Stop Sale Notice

2 scenarios that are likely here...and both involve the delivery driver and likely just a random inspection by the state. Possibly diesel was dropped into the premium and the state test deemed it cross contaminated. OR...the carrier brought too much regular. A sloppy/lazy drver didn't check...

    Wagner OEX pads, poor performance

I am also fairly new into the OEx pads and I think they may be one of the best pads I've ever used for daily driving. No noise, no dust, lots of stop.

    Additives in ethanol free fuel

It may vary per location, but the 90 rec gasoline I haul...regardless of brand gets the same amount of detergent additive as 93E10...which is up to 4X more than regular unleaded.

Nearly New Rotors and Brake Pulsation

That has never been my experience. Most every pad imprinting to rotor issue I've ever seen was a result of improper bed-in. I've "fixed" a lot of other people's mistakes over the years just by resurfacing and reusing the existing rotors as long as they were in spec and proper bed-in procedure...

Gas tanker truck at station when you go...

I'll bet everything I own I could search, find and post WAY more videos of gas station fires due to stupidity of the customers or vehicle fires with no fuel truck in sight. Without even watching the videos you posted, I'd also wager the cause of those fires were due to the driver not properly...

Gas tanker truck at station when you go...

In regards to tanks containing water, 99.99% of stores have an inventory monitoring system where they can see how much fuel is in their tanks. The most common system is Veeder Root. Most of these are connected to the internet and monitored by a dispatcher...who sends the fuel as needed. Some...

Gas tanker truck at station when you go...

I'm curious to know...how would a higher chance of a fire due to a tanker being there? I drive a fuel tanker. Is there something I'm missing or need to know about?

Nearly New Rotors and Brake Pulsation

Had a similar issue recently as well. I simply took the rotors and had them turned and kept the brake pads since they didn't even have 200 miles on them. They guy who did it said it was becoming more and more common for people to bring in brand new rotors to be turned before installing them...

    E10/E15 octane difference?

To achieve 87E10, the CBOB is 84 octane + 10% of 111 octane ethanol to achieve 87 where I am. Premium is 90 octane CBOB + 10% 111 octane ethanol to achieve 93. Mid grade is 60% 84 CBOB, 30% 90 CBOB and 10% ethanol...blended as it's loaded.

In Need Of Some .40 Caliber FMJ Bullets

Actually, the 155 grain...which are near impossible to find right now. I only have 100 rounds left of 155gr in Gold Dots. I have 180gr on hand, and I would definitely use them...but the 155 produce more energy both at muzzle and at target. I also have Winchester Silver Tip HP's in 155gr that...

In Need Of Some .40 Caliber FMJ Bullets

Caliber will come down to personal preference just as it would in ammunition and firearm brand. It won't ever be a "one size fits all" science. Of all the pistols I have, I feel that I am most most efficient and comfortable shooting my Sig Sauer .40S&W feeding it Speer Gold Dot personal defense...

    Circle K gasoline

All I can tell you what I've been told by the terminal operators where I load fuel every day. BP has their ethanol spec'd to 10.25% whereas everybody else is spec'd to 10%...and all the loading manifests are consistent in showing exactly that. It's the same in Doraville, Athens and Macon GA, N...

    What caliber?

Absolutely agree with letting her go to handle and even shoot several that feel good in her hand. Example, my mother-in-law is widowed and lives alone. Her grandson (my nephew) kept insisting she get a small semi-auto pistol. She wanted me to take her to shop for one. Got to the store...she...

    Circle K gasoline

You're doing the math incorrectly. Multiply 1000 x 10.2% = 102. That's how I've always done it and that's how it's itemized on the manifest. 9000 gallons x 10.25% = 922 gallons. A BP loading manifest will show this every single load. For ExxonMobil, Motiva (Shell), Citgo...

    Car wreck, lowball offer.

It may vary state to state too. I asked my insurance agent, who happens to be a good friend of mine and he says in GA, the laws won't allow the insurer to raise your rates if you file a claim that is not your fault. So if you have full coverage and you're hit and want to file the claim under...

    Circle K gasoline

I can show you various manifests for different brands. Each time, all the other brands are nearly 10% on the nose...BP however contains 10.2-10.25% every single time. Doesn't matter if I load 1000 gallons or 9000 gallons.

    Circle K gasoline

That's what was told to me by the terminal operators. They told me specifically that BP wants their ethanol blend set to 10.25%.
