What oil would you use for a high mileage engine?

Any reputable "conventional" 5W30 will serve you well with regular oil, filter and air filter changes. Don't over think this, your motor is not high mileage yet and has no major consumption, leaks or other obvious issues. Better to do a couple back-to-back UOA's with the same oil brand and get...

Mercedes Sprinter V6 Diesel Oil ??

If available, I strongly suggest Total Quartz INEO MC3 5W30. Had great success with this oil. Attached is also the TDS for your amusement.

What’s a good OBD2 scanner to get with other options?

I have a Solus Ultra, and it takes the win for everything other than VW and VAGCOM, but cost is certainly a thing. Before the Ultra, I had incredible success with the Launch Tech Millennium M90. It is even capable of doing ABS actuation for bleeding, steering angle, engine, trans and body codes...

    Should this tire be ok?

Cut or cracked sidewalls? Any puncture within an inch of the sidewall? Cracked tread? Not a chance. I would never allow that on my vehicles or anyone I want to be safe.

    Thickest 5w30 (11 plus at 100c)

Need it be a 5W30? Last I saw in mid-2019 Platium Euro L 0W30 had a cSt of 12.0, HTHS in the 3.5+ range and NOACK of ~7.0%. Low SAPS if running emissions equipment.

How many years of oil do you keep?

Currently: Diesel Rotella T6 5W40 about two years. Gasoline Castrol Edge 5W20 a have about three years, and Mobil 1 synthetic 5W30 could be about three years. Depends if my oil of choice is on clearance or if a good deal makes it's way to my attention.

56.7L of Motomaster Diesel Synthetic 5W40 in the form of 3 x 18.9L pails (Rotella T6). On sale right now for ~$120 each after taxes. Should be good the year since the BKW takes almost 12L per change and the ALH takes 4.5L of delicious synthetic lol

    Marvel Mystery Oil

Love it in diesel to clean and lubricate VE injectors, pumps and nozzles. Great as an gentle "oil flush" in gasoline engines when used as directed in the crankcase. Kirkland Oils Now in Canada

Got the email from Costco Canada today with an advert for their oil in 0W20, 5W20 and 5W30 flavours. These are online prices, I am sure we can expect $10CDN less in warehouse. Not a bad price for a decent oil. Curious is Walmart will permanently drop their ST prices.

Which would you use for 5k

IMO the pleats are what get me, I would go for the SuperTech over the fram. Cost being another factor, you could get two ST for the price of one Fram. Why pay for advertising.
